Marc is a featured lead singer in the Renditions and performs the tasks of managing the affairs of the group, initiating publicity, negotiating bookings, and managing external interfaces necessary to carry out the business aspects of an active Band. Marc organizes the song material the group presents in conjunction with much input from all the members of the group and maintains the song database for our shows.
Marc sings lead, 2nd tenor and baritone in the Renditions. He has been an avid “Doo Wop singer with numerous neighborhood groups in “The Bronx “since his childhood. He was “Emperor Marc, a DOO WOP radio show host on WFDU in Teaneck , NJ.
Marc practiced Podiatry for 41 years in Monticello and now resides in Boynton Beach Fl and Monticello, NY.
Norm started singing publicly at the age of nine. He worked his way through college by performing as the opening act at the Aladdin Hotel (backed by The Viscaynes, led by Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer Kenny Laguna) for Screamin' Jay Hawkins, The Belmonts, Gary U.S. Bonds, The Angels, and many more. He continued as the lead singer of The Expressions, a Queens-based rock 'n roll group, during the mid-60's.
Since his retirement from teaching, he has been a featured soloist for The Singers of Bellaggio in his community, for Veterans Day fundraising shows for The Wounded Warriors Project, as well as an actor in a dozen Broadway musicals produced by Theatreworks, and even starred as Danny Zuko in a Theatreworks production of "Grease".
For The Renditions of South Florida, he primarily sings second tenor, but occasionally sings first tenor and falsetto, sings lead as well as background harmony, and plays rhythm guitar. He also functions as the treasurer for the group.
John Gentile sings lead and background vocals for the “Renditions of South Florida. He also can play piano, percussion, guitar, and bass. A retired South Florida and New York City Teacher, John has always found a way to participate in many music projects.
Starting with the Setons, Flintstones, and Patriots in the early sixties, the bands played small nightclubs and private venues throughout NYC, Long Island, Upstate New York and New Jersey. In1962, the Patriots were signed to the well-respected firm of FGG Productions, cutting records with The Angels and the Patriots. In the late sixties, John sang and played piano and organ for The Levitation and Pure Cain, touring the Big Apple’s popular clubs where he got to open for The Steve Miller Band, The Platters, The Drifters, and Bo Diddley.
John formed a one man show and played in clubs in Florida and New York, eventually teaming up with the Dedications and The Boys from Brooklyn. Recently, he became a member of the Renditions.
Al sings lead, tenor, and top tenor in the Renditions, he is the vocal and harmonic arranger and as a strong influence on the repertoire of the group. It is his high tenor that enables the group to sing 4-part harmony in many of our songs giving the group its unique sound.
Al has worked with many vocal groups/bands and developed strong roots in R&B. He was a working member of the NYC Reflections, Old Things New, The Dedications, Vito and the Salutations, The Elegants and the Newports.
Al has authored over 50 original songs and professionally recorded over 30 original songs, plays piano, bass, and guitar and his voice can be found on many studio recordings and CDs.
Peter Gentile sings lead sings tenor harmony and plays guitar with the Renditions, assists with promotion and WEB site management and interface with sound engineering personnel. Develops specialized music tracks in response to the group members’ creative inputs.
Peter has been singing and playing music since the age of thirteen.Even though his primary career was Aerospace Engineering, where he worked for Northrop Grumman corporation for 46 years, he still managed to find time to perform in Hotels, Clubs and numerous musical venues since the age of 16.
His favorite pastime is entertaining people who appreciate the music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’ and 80s. He performs in a Solo or Duo format and with larger bands: “THE DEDICATIONS” based in Long Island NY, and “THE RENDITIONS” based in South Florida
Jerry Litt sings Bass in the Renditions. He has performed with the Renditions for the past 13 years. He has performed for many years in the Bellagio Community Chorus.
He also performs in many Broadway shows (e.g.: Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, and Fiddler on the Roof) as a member of the Bellagio Theater Group, he sings, dances, acts, and plays the saxophone.
He played the saxophone in a band in the Catskill Mts. Performed with singers and groups at hotel shows and events.
Originally from Staten Island Jerry and now resides in Lake Worth FLorida, Jerry was a licensed professional engineer with the NYC Transit Authority and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. At the MTA, he was the director of the Grants Management Department and worked with the NY Congressional Delegation to acquire funding for the NY Transit System and Commuter Railroads.
